Chelmsford Business Park Drone Survey

Knightland Developments were asked by Chelmsford Business Park to complete a rooftop condition survey on their units, to check on some known damage as well as look over the whole area for any issues that may not be known about

Knightland approached Black Water Media to ask whether a drone survey would be feasible.

The initial plan for the survey had been to use a Mobile Elevated Work Platform to do the checks. However, this would require closing large areas of the car parks of the busy commercial estate for a number of days, as well as requiring the rental of the machine and qualified staff to use it.

By using the drone, we completed the entire survey in a morning, with the whole area remaining open throughout. A detailed video was then produced showing all areas of concern, including accurate locations plotted on the accompanying map, which was presented to the land owners so repair teams could then be sent to the areas requiring work, knowing what they were expecting to find.
